Summary

Twenty-two studies evaluating the efficacy and safety of herbal medicine treatment in elderly low back pain patients aged 65 and older were systematically reviewed. Dokhwalgisaeng-tang and Ojeoksan were the most frequently used prescriptions, with significantly lower adverse event incidence compared to Western medicine.
