Summary
Nineteen randomized controlled trials (total 2,145 subjects) evaluating the combined effect of herbal medicine and lifestyle modification on obesity were meta-analyzed. The combined group showed an average BMI reduction of 2.3 kg/m², significantly higher than the lifestyle modification monotherapy group (0.9 kg/m²). The 6-month weight maintenance rate was also good at 71%.
