Summary
The efficacy of Korean medicine treatment and Western medicine (PPI) treatment for GERD was meta-analyzed across 18 RCTs. The effect of Korean medicine treatment was similar to PPI (RR 0.97), and the adverse event incidence was significantly lower (RR 0.34).
