Summary
Seventy-two patients with piriformis syndrome were randomly assigned to a chuna manipulation group or a stretching exercise group, and outcomes were compared after 6 weeks of treatment. Sciatic neuralgia symptoms and piriformis muscle tenderness significantly decreased in the chuna group.
