Summary
Sixteen clinical studies evaluating Korean medicine treatment (acupuncture, herbal medicine, Chuna) effects for post-traumatic vertigo after traffic accidents were systematically reviewed. The Korean medicine treatment group showed an average 52% improvement in DHI (Dizziness Handicap Inventory), superior to Western medicine controls (31%). Vestibular function recovery was also significantly faster on semicircular canal function tests (VNG), with improved postural stability (posturography).
