Summary
A meta-analysis of 28 studies (2,340 patients) evaluating effects of Gyejibokryeong-hwan-based herbal medicine treatment in uterine fibroid patients. Fibroid volume in the herbal medicine treatment group decreased by an average of 31.5%, with the herbal medicine plus mifepristone combination group showing the highest effect at 42.8% reduction. Need for surgery also significantly decreased.
