Summary
Twenty RCTs (total 2,156 patients) evaluating acupuncture effects on menopausal hot flashes were meta-analyzed. The acupuncture group showed an average 8.4 reduction in hot flash frequency per week, with also significantly alleviated severity. Showed similar effects to hormone replacement therapy (HRT) with almost no side effects.
