Summary
Adverse event incidence of Korean medicine cosmetic treatment (acupuncture, pharmacopuncture, thread embedding) was meta-analyzed across 22 clinical studies. The overall adverse event incidence was low at 4.2% (95% CI: 2.8-5.9%), and serious adverse events accounted for only 0.3%.
