Summary

Nine RCTs (782 subjects total) on Korean medicine treatment for pediatric tonsillar and adenoid hypertrophy were meta-analyzed. The herbal medicine (Hyungaeyongyo-tang, Bojungikgi-tang, etc.) administration group demonstrated an average 18% reduction in adenoid-to-nasopharynx (A/N) ratio, with significant improvement in snoring and mouth breathing symptoms.
