Twenty-five studies evaluating the neuroprotective effect of dementia prevention herbal medicines (Jogudeung-san, Danggwijakyak-san, etc.) were systematically reviewed. Herbal medicine showed significant effects on amyloid beta accumulation inhibition and hippocampal neuron protection.
