Summary
One hundred children with growth retardation were randomly assigned in a double-blind manner to a combination herbal medicine (Seongjang-tang) group or placebo group and compared over 6 months. The herbal medicine group showed significantly higher IGF-1 levels and 6-month growth velocity.
