Summary
Korean medicine interventions used in vitiligo treatment were systematically reviewed. Analysis of 19 studies including herbal medicine (modified Bojungikgi-tang, Yukmijihwang-tang), acupuncture, and topical preparations showed significantly higher repigmentation rates in the Korean medicine treatment group compared to controls. Treatment response rates were particularly excellent in the qi-blood deficiency pattern.
