Summary

The effects of pharmacopuncture treatment for pruritus of various etiologies were meta-analyzed. Analysis of 12 RCTs (total 1,156 patients) showed significant pruritus NRS score reduction and DLQI improvement in the pharmacopuncture group. The highest effect size was observed with Coptis and Sophora flavescens extract-based pharmacopunctures.
