Summary
Effects of herbal medicine treatment for pediatric atopic dermatitis were meta-analyzed. Analysis of 20 RCTs (2,134 children) showed significant improvements in SCORAD scores, pruritus VAS, and sleep disturbance scores in the herbal medicine treatment group. Effects were particularly excellent in prescriptions with immunomodulatory effects (Okbyungpung-san, etc.).
