Summary
Twenty-one RCTs (total 1,876 patients) evaluating acupuncture effects on musculoskeletal pain after traffic accidents were meta-analyzed. The acupuncture group showed an average 42% additional pain score reduction and 38% higher functional recovery scores compared to controls. Effects were maintained at 3 months post-treatment.
