Summary

Chuna therapy targeting the wrist and forearm was performed in 55 carpal tunnel syndrome patients, and carpal tunnel cross-sectional area and median nerve mobility were measured by ultrasound. After Chuna therapy, carpal tunnel cross-sectional area increased and median nerve mobility improved.

Key figures

Carpal tunnel cross-sectional area increase rate

15%

Participants

55 patients

Conclusion

Chuna therapy alleviates median nerve compression by securing physical space of the carpal tunnel.
