A systematic review analyzing the protective effect of antioxidant combined herbal medicine on sperm DNA damage in male infertility patients with sperm DNA damage (DFI ≥30%). Fourteen studies were included, and in Cornus officinalis-Schisandra-Lycium chinense-based prescriptions, DFI decreased by an average of 18.7%, and sperm intracellular ROS levels and MDA concentration also decreased significantly.

A cohort study analyzing the effect of Sanjoin-tang combined with Chukcheon-hwan in 110 men aged 45-65 simultaneously complaining of sleep disorders and nocturia. After 12 weeks of administration, PSQI improved from an average of 14.2 to 7.8, and nocturnal urination frequency decreased from an average of 3.1 to 1.4 times. Ninety-six patients with androgenetic alopecia (AGA) were evaluated for the effect of He Shou Wu-based herbal medicine combined with 5% minoxidil compared to minoxidil alone. Literature on herbal medicine treatment for bullous pemphigoid and other bullous diseases was narratively reviewed. Heat-clearing damp-resolving and blood-nourishing wind-dispelling prescriptions were mainly utilized, with reported steroid-sparing effects and recurrence suppression effects. When combined with herbal medicine, the maintenance dose of steroids could be reduced by an average of 40%.
